“The Earth has music for those who listen,” as the American philosopher, poet, literary and cultural critic George Santayana once said.
We only have one planet so we better start making it a priority to take care of her. Everywhere we look water resources are becoming more and more limited due to the excessive waste that goes into our rivers and oceans.
Giselle is an advocate for a clean, healthy, sustainable planet. She realizes the power of music and the stage as a platform to inspire living consciously. To help protect the earth and promote eco-friendly action Giselle supports local Miami environmental causes and environment protection programs like Surfrider (for oceans and beaches) and VolunteerCleanup.Org, which is a n organization that hosts weekly beach and bay cleanups, while educating about our precious native ecosystem. She has also joined in peaceful protests for the banning of pipelines in the Everglades National Park in Florida.
In our fast paced world it is definitely not always easy living completely green and waste-free, but there is absolutely loads of room for improvement and we can do it. Education, awareness, and action are key to reducing our carbon-footprint.
Giselle aims to increase awareness about our environmental issues through her music and performance art shows, such as Natura, she’s created with her team at United Vision. Natura is a show that is part of United Vision’s Immersion Project. It speaks about the destruction of Mother Nature and the way it mirrors the abuse of women. It references the our misuse of technology and the need to reconcile our destructive habits as a humanity in order to save our Mother Earth and live more harmoniously as one.
More performance art shows with environmental themes coming soon! Stay tuned!
